Packed with surprises, Good and Bad
The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable! I also appreciated the friendly staff.
The parking experience was confusing and resulted in an unexpected inconvenience. Breakfast costs were higher than anticipated.

The river
The staffer that checked us in was very distant and rude. Fortunately for you the other staffer with her at the time realised how i was being treated and he tried to compensate. she never told us that we had to use our key card to active the elevators after a specific time. Her directions to the parking was complexand no check for understainding done. We had to come back down and ask someone else. i am a person of color and i wondered if that offended her. we paid our bill like every one else and were in town for a funeral it would have been nice to have encountered a nicer welcome to your hotel. I had been before and was anxious to show my husband.

I loved the bright, contemporary design with charming local accents. The common areas were spacious and cute, providing comfortable seating, made it easy for senior guests to relax and socialize.
More accessible dining options would be appreciated.

The river view was awesome. The Inn was close to downtown shops. A beautiful park was across the street from the hotel.
The restaurant was closed Sunday and Monday. We were there for the Labour Day long weekend). There was a daily charge for parking across the street in a parking garage The coffee shop was closed down (which was located in the hotel lobby). The lounge was closed. I chose this particular hotel because the website said it had a restaurant and a lounge attached.

The view of Detroit
I was under the impression it was a 4 star hotel. I would give it a 1. I have travelled around the world and this place rates in the worst 5. The hotel is under major noisy nand dirty renovations of which I was not warned about. You should have known. The bed was very old and gave me a sore back. Pillows must have been 10 years old. The window air conditioner was super noisy so I had trouble sleeping. I believe a fair adjustment would be a 50 percent refund of the base room rate. One of your people should go and try out hotels before selling them as first class properties.. Do you build your business on satisfied customers? William T.

The view from the King Room with Water View dazzles, with a picturesque panorama of the Detroit skyline across the river. The hot tub provided a relaxing escape, perfect after a long day.
Parking brought its own set of challenges. You're looking at a pricey $17 a day for a lot located a bit of a trek from the hotel, and it was like a game of Russian roulette with our car's safety. The air conditioning unit was not only musty upon arrival but also loud enough to disrupt sleep with rattling noises, and the dining prices left much to be desired. $20 For a mediocre dinner felt more like a rip-off than a convenience.
